Monday – 7/6/2015 – TTT 

hip/hamstring/glute warmup

A – Back Squats – 1 rep every 30 sec x 20 @ 75%
Rounded up a couple of pounds to 290. Second 10 felt much more comfortable than the first.

B1 – Jumping good mornings x 6-8, rest 1 min
95 for 6 across

B2 – Strict toes to bar x 10, rest 1 min x 5
Felt more comfortable for all sets of 10 today, could tell when I got mentally lazy but dialed it back in.

C – EMOM x 21

Min 1 – 5 deficit HSPU
Strict on all. Rd 6 went 3-2, rd 7 2-1-1

Min 2 – 3 rope climbs to 15′

Min 3 – 8 Dbl KB front squats, 53/hand
Today was just a downright grind. Due to poor nutrition and consuming some adult beverages. My mental concern going into this piece was the rope climbs as they take the most out of me physically. The KB squats were definitely not a rest but got through them fairly quickly. In rd 4 I did drop them and they pinched my fingers together and it was pretty painful. I wanted to quit at this point, however I did not allow my self to succumb to my negative self talk and excuses I was trying to use. Overall not the best training day, but I am happy to so I pushed through under un-ideal circumstances mentally and physically.
